Words I need to hear...
As a parent, have you ever looked at your child and been overcome with love? For me, the feeling means my heart actually seems to squeeze, and I just have to hug or touch my child. I think this is the type of feeling described in Zephaniah 3:17. "The Lord your God is with you, He is mighty to save. He will take great delight in you, He will quiet you with His love, He will rejoice over you with singing." The whole verse is wonderful, but today, I need to hear "He will take great delight in you." When I feel like the ones I love the most only have criticisms, or passive-aggressive comments to share, I desperately need to be reminded HE will take great delight in me. I don't deserve it for sure, but I believe my Heavenly Father's heart squeezes when He looks down on me, and He just needs to touch me. His words of love, grace and mercy reach into my soul, and bring me perfect peace. So thankful...
